Srinagar, July 03 (KNO) : Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary Wednesday questioned the government’s recent decision to halt rail services in Kashmir during Amarnath Yatra, terming the measure unnecessary and uncalled for.  In a statement issued to KNO, he said that the government is deliberately trying to stir the equanimity of the pilgrimage that has been going on in Kashmir for centuries with harmony and tolerance.  He said that this goes beyond the reach of reason that railways have been shut for the first time in the state due to the Amarnath Yatra. Such an action besides exposing the local populace to extreme hardships has the tendency to create animosity between people who otherwise have been providing best example of religious harmony to the outer world.  Kadfeen said that the BJP led government deliberately wants to create a wedge between people and sow seeds of discord and strife. He added that there are thousands people including students, patients, employees, businessmen who use these railways on daily basis and by denying them the facility, the government is causing chaos in Valley and turning the situation bad from worse.  Kadfeen said that it is high time for those at the helm to understand that by throwing life out of gear, no issue will get resolved on ground. The government, said Kadfeen is becoming part of the problem instead of becoming part of a solution.(KNO)
